Thanks for visiting

Ideas-matter-sphere events have now ended
and this site is being archived.
Please visit our Events pages for details of what went on, and thank you to all our excellent contributors and audiences, with many of whom the dialogue still continues.

And into the future …

the ideas and discussions are being developed into brand new ventures by the people behind ideas-matter-sphere

MAT CLUM is taking the energy and ideas generated at Ideas-matter-sphere events to an even wider audience through his new organisation, Tickbird&Rhino, where talented, curious and creative folk meet up and get to know each other.

‘We gather together a unique mix of people who have good ideas and are keen to make a difference. We do it in all sorts of ways - from socials and salons to workshops and collaborations.  Then we grab the magic that happens when you get interesting people together and take it out into the world.  And we have a great time while we do it.  We're matchmaking for Creative Brains.’

CAROLINE LAMBARD has taken the salon discussions back to the studio and gallery, and is developing ideas in direct contact with the artwork - both her own installations and drawings and other artists' work - where the concept for ideas-matter-sphere first emerged.

The lower image was created by robotics scientist Ed Johns in response to artist Alexandra Blum's drawing above, for the Spatial Perception and Visual Memory salon.  Ed's image is the transformation by a robot's visual system as it attempts to match it to images in its memory.
